There are several venomous snakes in Africa. Is this a green Mamba or a Boomslang? Mara North Conservancy image, courtesy of our guide Simon.

OUR APPRECIATION TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED IN IDENTIFYING THIS SNAKE...

Though distinguishing these two venomous snakes can be an uphill task, below are some features that helps in differentiating
them even faster.
This is a Boomslang male because it has a bright green colouring and light green belly. Has an Oval shaped head. Generally found in trees.
Green Mamba is glossy green in colour with a lighter, bright greenish-yellow belly. Another distinct feature is a coffin shaped
head or a Rectangular head and has a long thin tail. Commonly found in shrubs.
